Travelling by Air India Business Class is an interesting experience. You get to enjoy great customer service, comfortable seats, and a wide range of amenities at a fairly reasonable cost. If you’re travelling from Australia to India, business class Air Indiamay be the best option to consider. You may end up saving hundreds of dollars on your trip.
Many people wonder if a business class seat is worth the additional expense. Sometimes the price difference offered by Air India can strain your travel budget. People often travel by business class on their company’s dime, choosing economy when they want to travel for leisure. However, experienced travellers know that business class is worth the expense. Here’s a look at some of the biggest advantages of Air India business class seats:
The trip from Australia to India, be it Air India Melbourne to Delhi flights or otherwise, can take more than 12 hours. It is a nightmare to spend that long in a small economy seat with very little leg room. Air India business class seats are very comfortable. You have the option of choosing aisle or window and can enjoy ample leg room, especially if you’re travelling by the 747 Aircraft.
The seats on the 777-300ER are in the 2-3-2 configuration, so more aisle seats are available on that flight. All seats are comfortable and well-furnished. On the 777, you can recline fully while on the 747, you can enjoy a deep incline that allows you to stretch your legs comfortably. The level of comfort may vary from one aeroplane to another so it is a good idea to check which aeroplane will be travelling your preferred route. All seats are spacious and plush, providing optimal comfort for long-haul flights.
Business Class travellers get exclusive and premium check-in access. You can use web check-in or priority check-in at the airports. Instead of waiting in long lines and wasting your precious time, you can get express check-in, baggage drop, and boarding. The airline boards according to the class, with first class boarding first, followed by business, and then economy. You can also choose a preferred seat during web check-in to have the best flight experience in the Air India business class.
Air India allows Business Class travellers to check in baggage that weighs less than 35kgs. The maximum weight for a single bag is 32kgs. The weight allowance is 10kgs more than economy class fares and 5kgs less than First Class fares. The size of your bag shouldn’t exceed 158cm or 62inches per piece. The bag must go through the airport weight and size check before it can be checked in so it is a good idea to observe some precautions during your packing process. Take time to look at the Air India baggage policy before you leave your home.
World-class meals are included in your Business Class ticket to India. As you board, you will get delicious entrees along with some of the best wines available. You can also enjoy a wide range of meal options suitable for different lifestyles and health concerns. For example, there are diabetic-friendly meal options and vegetarian options. All meals are prepared by experienced chefs using the best possible ingredients so you have something delicious to appease your appetite during your long-haul flight.
There is a spacious and comfortable Air India lounge in Delhi, Mumbai, and other important destinations. You can relax in these lounges and even take advantage of other premium lounges in different airports with your business class ticket. These lounges have all of the required amenities like comfortable seats, Wi-Fi, a food and drink bar, and clean washrooms. You can freshen up before and after your trip.

Magazines are also available so even if you’re not in the mood for movies, you have something to enjoy. With Wi-Fi, you can get excess entertainment on your devices as well. I just returned from a to and fro trip from Mumbai to Delhi to Toronto by business class.
Unfortunately at none of these airports were first or business class given the priveledge of boarding the aircraft first.
In fact first were the wheel chair passengers then families with small kids and then economy passengers. Which I find annoying and absurd as the biz and first class passengers pay a huge amount towards their tickets
Hello Selwyn ji,
That’s truly sad to hear. We understand the frustration and annoyance. Biz class passengers pay a huge amount indeed and must have priviledges to enjoy. We hope the airlines understand this and work towards the same.
Warm Regards,
